"Just as the Caterpillar thought her life was over, she began to fly"
The soft clucking of my bangles reminds me of the step I had taken into my new, much awaited life many, many years ago. Yes, I believe every story has its roots set in time long before we typically think it begins (with Chapter 1). My story began in long before time...
The story of a life I had imagined and seen not just with my own eyes but with a pair of beautiful new eyes that had met my gaze around the same time. Now, 8 years later as I sit to ponder upon where I've arrived or should I say from where I am beginning Chapter 1 of my New Life, I am opening up to many more new possibilities. Some wanted and some sorely unwanted, but as Mrs Gump explains to Forrest, "Life is a box of chocolate dear, you never know what your gonna get." Its better we enjoy the one while it lasts from Frog Vomit to Strawberry crush, this box has it all (wink wink).
A life lived (for as long as 27 years) cannot easily be replaced or forgotten but then again isn't that what we are taught to do when we stumble upon something new. "Observe, reflect and Absorb", that's exactly what we are taught in schools.

Slowly I move forward, spend each day in this alien home, foreign environment and new people, I am often pushed to ask myself some very typically distressing and some pleasantly exciting questions. Unfortunately at present I have the answers to none. But I do hope I shall soon be in a position to seek both the pile of questions and their answers successfully.
I do have one constant in all this ridiculousness and happiness... the pair of beautiful new eyes that met my gaze 8 years ago.
"I close my eyes, then I drift away, into the magic night I softly say. A silent prayer, like dreamers do, then I fall asleep to dream my dreams of you." Roy Orbison
